Palermo Baba

  We’ve made just 274 pairs of this premier style in our Collector’s Series, which combines rare craft techniques and materials from around the world with the abilities of the talented shoemakers in our El Paso workshop.   The upper of our Palermo Baba features intricate, hand-woven, vegetable-tanned leather crafted by skilled artisans from the north of Spain. These artisans hail from the town of Almanza, renowned for its artisanal shoemaking heritage dating back to the early 18th century.   These exquisite woven uppers are meticulously crafted into the Palermo Baba at our El Paso workshop, with only 274 pairs made.   The beauty of these authentically woven Babas is not only in the unique appearance, but also the enhanced comfort as the weave moves & forms with your feet at every step. Our use of vegetable tanned leather ensures that our Palermo Babas will gradually develop a rich, golden patina over time with wear.   Each pair of Palermo Babas is heat-embossed on the sole with the month and year of production, along with its unique number within the batch series, ensuring its exclusivity.
