Tin Ceiling Tooled Baba
Limited to 50 pairs as part of our Collector's Series | Inspired by the patterns found in tin ceilings across NYC, we developed this design as a block print and then translated into a Baba using a rare hand-tooling technique. Commonly found on cowboy boots, tooling refers to embellishment of leather through carving, stamping and engraving by hand. It's intricate, tedious and time consuming -- a skill passed down through generations and increasingly difficult to come by. Specifically, our design was tooled by skilled artisans in León, Mexico before being crafted into a Baba in El Paso, TX.

Your Questions Answered
How do I determine my proper size?
All of our styles are true to size; however, each unique silhouette differs numerically.
You can expect to take a different sizeway for Sabahs, Turkish made backless Babas, & El Paso made Babas. You can view the exact style type on the relevant product page.
We recommend selecting the numerical size that directly corresponds to your typical EUR/US shoe size in the drop down menu on each specific product page.
We certainly understand that juggling various numbers, sizes, & fits can feel daunting at first, so please do not hesitate to drop us a line for guidance & support!
How should my pair fit?
For an ideal fit, your heels should come just shy of or right to the back edge of the insoles. The natural leather will stretch and form to your feet with wear.
Your toes should touch the end of the pair with some pressure; however, they should not be curling.
It typically takes 3-5 good wears for your Babas to begin notably stretching throughout.
That said, the Baba style is initially a touch more relaxed than the Sabah (full shoe).
Why do El Paso made Babas differ in numerical fit from Turkish made Babas?
The differing methods of craft in each workshop lead to alternate numerical sizing on the final last. The history of shoe making in each setting brings forth these unique elements of production.

How do I care for my El Paso made Babas?
Specific care instructions will vary based on the material used to craft your unique pair.
Velvet, hair-on leather, smooth leather, fabrics, & suedes all require slightly different attention & maintenance.

We happily accept all returns on NEW & UNWORN Sabahs & Babas. Please, visit our Returns page for more information & to initiate a request.
We also offer FREE returns for new & unworn orders placed in the UK within 30 days of receipt.

For all orders placed that are currently in-stock, we are able to send your package to post within 1-2 business days.
Orders are processed and shipped Monday-Friday (excluding holidays). For in-stock items, please allow 24-48 hours for your order to be processed.
Our standard Royal Mail service typically delivers anywhere in the UK within 5 business days.
We also offer faster Royal Mail services at checkout. Expedited orders placed before 3pm GMT ship the same day. Please note, Royal Mail express services do not deliver on Saturday or Sunday.
Where is my order shipping from?
Our shoes are handmade in Gaziantep, Turkey, El Paso, Texas & Monte San Giusto, Italy, then sent to Sabah House London. Your order is carefully packed up by our London team & passed off to post.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we do! As a note -- if you are ordering from the United States, please visit our US site - sabah.am.
International shipments may be subject to customs fees and import duties of the country to which your order is shipped. The courier will charge you any taxes or customs directly. For any detailed questions on this, we recommend you consult your local Customs office.
